Documenting the Journey

| February 1, 2012 | 0 Comments

This week, the Courier-Journal published a touching story about one family’s challenging road to conceiving a child. For years, the only thing Kelly and James Durst wanted was a healthy baby — fingers crossed, even more. After multiple rounds of infertility procedures, Kelly eventually did become pregnant (initially with twins, but lost one baby during the pregnancy). This couple’s hope for a healthy pregnancy and happy child did come true. And through it all, they documented their journey, sharing a small insight into what they went through emotionally, physically and spiritually.

Documenting a pregnancy journey — whether you’re going through infertility procedures yourself, or happily got pregnant on your own (or are trying), is a fun way to create a memory that you and your family will have forever. Check out our previous post on ways to document that journey. You’ll be glad you wrote down the high’s and low’s of the day; the joy of a positive result; the drive to the hospital as the baby is ready to be born.

Readers — is this something you would consider doing? Or have done yourself?
