ParentClick.com Turns 10!
We’re a big supporter of the blogging community and continuously learning what it means to be a parent in today’s world. There is so much knowledge and information out there to be learned and it’s all available because of you — because of the people who tap into this online phenomenon and share, recommend and contribute to such wonderful causes. Today, one of our favorite parenting sites has a birthday; ParentClick.com just turned 10! What once started as a website for families in one individual town has now grown to have nationwide readership.
Founder Rachael Ross Steidl began ParentClick.com (originally SBParent.com) in 2002 — initially as a resource for other families in Santa Barbara, California. Only 2 years after creating her website, Rachael expanded her scope to reach more families in other cities — a portal for family communication. Just last year, the site expanded again to a “newly designed site to create better search options, a member community and a social networking presence.” With more than 40,000 parent members, ParentClick.com continues to grow for a very solid purpose.
